Today's walkitcornwall quote

"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." — Douglas Adams

The scenery, flowers and birds, coupled with your wealth of knowledge, really made for a super few days. It was so nice spending time taking it all in, without the need to rush to the next destination. The dynamics of the friendly group merely added to the enjoyment. The week went all too quickly so, who knows, I may return for more! Do thank Ceri for the lovely sandwiches and the chickens for the eggs!

This year has already brought another mixture of weather. Summer in March, rainstorms in June. We play a good game when it comes to predicting the days weather and we again managed to get the best weather in the county and walked accordingly. This group care of Adventureline were from all over the world so we had to show the county at its best... and we didn't disappoint.

Roll call was Tam and Jill, Hedy and Morris, Jayne, Maureen and Elfriede. The US, Canada and the mighty Essex were represented. Hollywell bay circular; Lizard southernmost point; Trelissick and the Fal estuary; Treyarnon to Trevone south west coast path and Nanjizal to the Minack theatre were our five days of walks.

An adder crossed our path at Carn Boel and the Spring Squill is in abundance. The south west coast path is in glorious display presently with up to 70 species of flowers seen over 5 days.
