Today's walkitcornwall quote

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world". - Anne Frank

I just wanted to thank you again for a really lovely week's walking. We could not have been more blessed with the weather, and seeing those glorious beaches and panoramic views without the summer crowds was exceptional.

–Jillian P, UK

Thanks for getting this far. We are very happily busy with our guided walking holidays in Cornwall and abroad in Menorca and Corfu so we are doing less of our self guided holidays. However we do recommend Tim Whitaker at Nearwater Walking Holidays who provides many self guided walks not only around Cornwall but as far away as the Thames Path, Devon and in the Cotswolds. He will organise from one day in and around the Fal River to the whole South West Coast Path, that's 630 miles of the best Long Distance Path in the UK.

  • If you decide to go with Tim at Nearwater Walking holidays for an in depth self guided walking holiday then we are very happy to recommend them. If you like the feel of walkitcornwall then we can organise a self guided itinerary around Falmouth, Truro, St Mawes and the Fal and Helford rivers. So Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo. for some ideas.
  • Not everyone wants to be a part of a guided group. Many want the freedom to explore at their own pace but just want the comfort of knowing that where they are going has been professionally prepared.

phoca thumb m dscf0747We call Falmouth the walking capital of Cornwall as it is at the centre of the best walking Cornwall has to offer. Not only is it the gateway to the unique Lizard peninsula but it is a 15 minute ferry ride from the Roseland peninsula with hundreds of miles of footpaths away from the tourist gaze. Bodmin Moor to the east and the Penwith peninsula including St Ives and Lands End to the west are an hour away. The north coast all the way up to Padstow is also an hours drive.

phoca thumb m p1000627Falmouth is the perfect place to base yourself for a walking holiday. We have worked closely for many years with a number of top B&B's and hotels in Falmouth so you can also choose the type of accommodation that you want for your stay. We will liaise with them so you enjoy the kind of walking holiday that we would want to participate in ourselves. That is the personal service we provide.
